I first checked this book out from the Library, then decided it was definitely worth the purchase. McCaffrey is knowledgeable and explains the information in a way the lay-person can understand. It all makes such sense - eat the food God put here as close to it's natural state as possible. Our bodies will thank us for it by the health we enjoy. Next, I will purchase her cookbook. All the recipes I have tried from this first book have been very good.

Dee McCaffrey presents a science-based, research-solid explanation of why processed-free foods are best, and the multitude of ways one can benefit from following the nutrition schematics of Plan-D.

Among the many important nutritional facts she covers in this book, McCaffrey explains how transmuting sugar ... Read More

Dee gives us sound nutritional advice. The recipes are not the best part of the book; but it would be incomplete without them and the limited number of meal plans. She seems to have a sweet tooth, as the recipes reflect more sweetened foods than I prefer.
Dee does have a scientist's eye for detail; and explains nutrition in an understandable way. The ... Read More

I love this book! If you are completely willing to change what's in your pantry and what you eat, this book is for you. There is no , calorie counting just combining certain foods and eliminating others. I come from a scientific background and I love how this book explains food, diet, and metabolism and the scientific effects in our body. Take what Dee says to heart, and you will have a happy and healthy heart!

EVERYONE should read this book! It is aimed first at compulsive eaters wanting to break their cycle of obesity and litany of diseases but it can benefit anyone who cares about what goes into his/her body. I am all pumped up and hope that I can apply most of the concepts mentioned in the book.
One thing that would be useful: how can we apply this anti-diet to children? If you have a family and cook for different ages, growth stages, and nutritional needs, how do you do it? Maybe a ... Read More
