If you sift through virtually every other Chubby Checker compilation CD out there, you get variations of the same theme ad nauseum. The dances, hucklebuck, twist, limbo, more dances, on and on. Here you get a fair share of those but also some plain old good songs on everyday themes. This is worth owning for the sheer inclusion of "Black Cloud," basically a blues song but performed so robustly you would have a hard time believing Mr. Checker wasn't really happy. This is an excellent cd cotaining 31 tracks on one cd...The sound is quite good.Most of his hits and some lessor known gems are included in this album.There is a volume two of this album,but i think all the major hits are covered in this album...This album is a must have for serious oldies collectors.I hope my review was of some help to you...I thank you Stewart L.
