Matt Hazard is back!
There's never been another hero quite like Matt Hazard. In the 1980s, he reached the apex of the gaming world, becoming one of the most popular video game heroes. Once he retired from the gaming scene, the world thought they had heard the last of Matt Hazard. Now he's ready to make his dramatic comeback, leaving retirement behind to enter the next-gen video game scene and face off against his old adversaries once again. With only the mysterious "QA" to help him, Matt must fight against a legion of Marathon Megasoft catalogue of videogame characters to keep it from being "Game Over" forever. Eat Lead pays homage to the games of yesteryear with a menagerie of classic enemies such as zombies, space marines, cowboys, genetically mutated super snipers, and more and an expansive level environment design that reflects videogame history in a next-gen package. The game fires on all cylinders with explosive artillery and combat moves to help gamers escape from a variety of predicaments including radically-changing environments during gameplay via "hack effects" Hazard's nemesis uses by altering the game's code on the fly. Throughout the adventure, players will utilize a strategic cover system dubbed "point and cover," upgradeable weapons and different interactive melee moves to attack and outsmart foes.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A parody of videogames
Buying this game I expected it to be bad but in reality it really wasn't that bad at all. Aside from bad controls and gameplay its a decent game that pokes fun at a made up videogame hero Matt Hazard whose used to be huge during his early years but after a string of bad videogames by his developer Marathon Megasoft he is back to return to his gaming glory. For $20 I couldn't go wrong plus it has easy trophies for those trophy hunters out there and the script is pretty funny it makes fun of Mario, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Great Fun game!!
Ok, Ok, I get it. This game is no COD or GOW, but what it is is...FUN! It has to be the most creative and funny games i have played in a long time. Numerous times I actually found myself laughing out loud at the dialogue. Although it might not be worth the original MSRP, it is definately worth a rental, which is what i did originally, but when i found it for sale on NewEgg for $15, i couldnt pass it up.

It draws in so much humor from other types of games, western shooters, 2D Wolfenstein ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - If you're a child of the 80's, you'll enjoy this game.
The run and gun gameplay gets repetative, but the story is fun and never takes itself seriously. From the Shatner sounding Gandalf looking character to the video games that it parodies, this is an enjoyable game that makes many pop culture references. If you've never seen a Schwartzenegger movie, some of the jokes will fall flat, but what are the chances that you haven't? Worth a rental, but no replay value.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Bad Game stay away
Some people are giving this game good reviews. I can only say that they must be five or have never played a video game before. This game has an interesting idea, but fails to execute. It is boring the story is stupid and the graphics are sub par. This game is perhaps worth [...] not too much more. On a positive note the trophies are really easy. Pause the game and get a trophy. I am embarassed to have this game in my collection. Stay away at all cost this game is a hazzard.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Complete and utter garbage
I really had high hopes for this game. Despite the poor reviews this game got from pretty much everywhere, the concept seemed sound. The mostly positive reviews here on Amazon gave me some hope as well. It is supposed to be an action packed cover third person shooter a la Gears of War. It is supposed to poke fun at video games--kind of a Scary Movie for the video game afincianados. What we got instead is one of the most repetitive frustrating experiences I have ever had with a video game on my PS3. First ... Read More
