Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Smash Hits Great for Older Rockers
I saw my kids playing the Guitar Hero games and recognized many of the songs included. Once I learned to play the game myself I started getting the games for the classic rock songs they contained. I bought Smash Hits to take to a party with some of our friends because it had the most recognizable songs from my generation. After one of my friends got the hang of the guitar controller, he was into it. Playing along with songs like "Smoke On the Water" and "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" brought back memories ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love this!!!!
If you ever wished you could play Guitar Hero 1 or 2 with a full band or with the original masters, this is the game for you! It's simply awesome to relive some of my favorites. Plus, the notes are all redone. I think this is because these are original masters rather than some cover bands that Harmonix used for the original versions.

It feels like going from the VHS version of Star Wars to a HDTV 7.1 version. Totally new way to experience it the way it was meant to be experienced. ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Almost.
Been playing the Rock Band series since the get go, and finally tried out this and guitar hero 4 since they have come down so much in price.

They are different, but still very fun games.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very simply awesome
This game rocks flat out. If you're a die hard Guitar Hero fan, it's kind of disappointing to not see every song you want on one disc (which I hope they will do one day..), BUT, this game is as close as it's been for me. Awesome game, with lots of songs, and it stirs up the songs notes arrangements which adds flavor to old licks. This game is very very fun, must have for the music genre in gaming.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A SUPER FUN WAY TO ENTERTAIN
I bought this for my 11-year-old son for Christmas. Lo and behold, he and his dad have spent many hours together playing this. The looks on their faces is worth it to me. They are doing something together and learning coordination all at the same time.
